The ‘ugly shoes’ Birkenstock diversify and launch to the cosmetic – Modaes Latin america

Birkenstock diversifies and exploits the rubber of their soles in cosmetics. The German company of footwear, with sales of about 700 million euros (738,9 million dollars), called to the door of the beauty market with a new line of products of natural cosmetics based on the material of your shoes.

This new line, called Birkenstock Cosmetics, has a range of 28 articles for man and woman. The company will launch this new product range next fall and will include items for skin care, serums, anti ageing, shower gel and creams to the feet.

Founded in 1774, Birkenstock launched in 2014 nearly twenty million shoes in over 87 countries. The company, which has a workforce of over 3,000 employees around the world, continues to be piloted by the founding family and, at present, is to command the sixth generation of the family saga.
